SATURDAY, JANUARY 29, 2022

Attached is the information for the Competition Simulation that is scheduled for this weekend on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

We have all Star1+ skaters on this schedule.  Yes, we know that competition that was scheduled for February 4-6 has been cancelled, but we feel that it is important to proceed with the simulation to keep the skaters focused and moving forward on short-term goals.  Please make time to have your skater present.  If your skater is unable to come due to illness or scheduling, please let us know and we'll pull them from the schedule.

If you have any questions regarding this (especially for our new Star1 parents & skaters), please get in touch by email or phone.  I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Thanks.

Our ice time finishes at 1:45pm.  There will not be any ice available after the competition simulation.

We will be allowing spectators into the building with no capacity limit.  All spectators will be required to show proof of 2x vaccination as well as ID.

Coach Meagan will let our Star1 skaters and spectators into McLaren Park Arena at 10:00am.  All other skaters and spectators will need to wait until Coach Chelsea is available to open the doors at 10:30am.  She will then be on the doors for the remainder of the day to allow skaters and spectators to come and go as they please.

As a reminder:

  • If Saturday is your regular CanSkate PA day, I will expect you to be there and then skate the simulation afterward.
  • All skaters should be at the arena a minimum of 45min before their ice time to warmup
  • I expect to see the same skating costume, hair, tights and warmup jacket/sweater that you would wear at a competition. This allows us to make notes & corrections before any upcoming events.
