COACHES:

Darren Gillett has been Coaching for 35 years and brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of Skating. He competed at the Senior Level both Men's Singles and Competitive Dance at the BC and Canada National Championships. Many of Darren’s former students have achieved significant accomplishments, including careers in coaching, and skating with ice shows such as “Disney on Ice” and “Ice Capades”. Darren is a Quadruple Gold Medallist.

Trish York- Gillett has been Coaching for 23 years and achieved the triple Gold Status in Figures, Freeskate,& Dance. Trish competed in Novice Ladies Division at the age of 11, at the BC Sections Championships, and won the Senior Ladies Event at the 1980 BC Winter Games. She received the "Most Artistic Skater Award" for the Okanagan Region and was the first ever skater in the Okanagan to pass the Junior Competitive Test. Trish has an extensive background in fitness. She has been a certified Aerobics Instructor, a long distance runner, and studied jazz, ballet, body building, tai chi, karate, yoga & pilates.

Glengarry FSC also provides Coaching Training for their Intermediate and Senior Figure Skater’s, who then volunteer their time as Junior Coaches for the CanSkate program.
